  •  CENSODEV has received funding from SHARE to carry out a two year entrepreneurial skills development program for small and medium scale entrepreneurs (SMEs), targeting trainees from vocational training centers and apprentices from master craftsmen and women in the Kassena Nankana Municipality.

 

  • CENSODEV is offering consultancy services to “Our lady of Mercy Community Services” (OLAMCs) on a three year law, Justice and Human right project dub; “Offering opportunities to vulnerable women through knowledge and awareness creation towards their empowerment in Northern Ghana” in five MMDAs in Upper East and Northern Regions funded by OSIWA-Senegal-2015 to 2017.

 

  • Mobilized, profiled and strengthened capacities of one hundred and nineteen (119) women community-based groups and got them all registered and issued with certificates from the department of Cooperatives and their Municipal and District Assemblies across the three Regions of the North.

 

  • Offered four (4) 96hrs training sessions (120 trainees) for the Rural Enterprises Project’s Clients on financial Management in Builsa (Sandema), Kassena Nankana west (Paga), East Mampurusi (Nalerigu) and Bunpkurugu-Yunyoo Districts from June 2015 to date.

 

  • The organization is also into partnership with GII/NCCE to implement Star Ghana and OSIWA Social Accountability project in the Kassena Nankana Municipality.

 

  • From December 2013 to June 2015, CENSODEV provided Consultancy Services on Strategic and Business Plans, Feasibility Studies, Grants Proposal and report writing including carrying out support for implementation of advocacy actions activities for Somirinan Young Farmers League and Manful Piinu Farmers’ Cooperative Society in Bunkpurugu Yunyoo District, supported by the BUSAC fund.

 

  • Facilitated the construction and installation of a shea processing facility, installed a grinding mill, Crasser, Fryer and other accessories to enhance quality and increase production of shea butter for Gwenia Wekoga Songo Women Shea butter extraction Group in Chiana. December 2012.

 

  • CENSODEV, from 2011 to 2013 undertook training in business advocacy, financial management, and entrepreneurship, including project concept and proposal development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation for results and impact for a number of business Associations across the three Regions of the North that had funding from the BUSAC fund.

 

  • From 2004 to 2009 CENSODEV was involved in Promotion rights of ordinary citizens through a number of capacity building and awareness activities to enable citizens groups demand accountability from duty bearers. This was supported first by CLUSA/GAIT and in 2009 by Ibis West Africa and in partnership with the Kassena Nankana Municipal Assembly. The projects dealt with citizens Government engagement issues; made available Suggestion boxes and notice boards at the strategic location to display government policies, programmes and development.

 

  • Lead the implementation of UNDP, GEF/GEM environmental sustainability projects in Chiana, Kassena Nankana West and Chuchuliga in the Builsa North Districts in 2008.

 

  • With Support from the UNDP and other benevolent Organizations and individuals, from 2004 to 2006 the Organization has embarked on a Cross Border Environment and HIV/AIDS campaigns in partnership with a Burkina based Civil Society group; Reseau Afrique Jeunnes; a network of youth Associations in Burkina Faso. The Project started first in Navrongo, Ghana in 2004 and continued in 2005 to Koudougou and finally ended up in Fada all in Burkina Faso in 2006.

 

  • Trained, supported and monitored pools for Women aspirants in the Local Level (Assembly and Unit Committee) Elections in 2006. This was able to increase the numbers of Women elected to the Assembly from one (1) to three (3) and highest recorded number of Women government appointees.

 

  • Assessed CIVICUS Mentoring grant programme that provided technical and financial support by CLUSA for the training of twenty five (25) revenue collectors and Civil Society in the Kassena Nankana District. It must be noted that the District realized an increased in its IGF by 10% due to Citizens involvement in revenue mobilization. This took place from 20th to 22nd April 2009.

 

  • With Financial and Technical support from CLUSA, organized, Parliamentary candidates debate on November 4th and 7th 2004 respectively for Parliamentary aspirants contesting the Navrongo Central and Paga-Chiana Constituencies.
